I have been giving the opportunity to invite three people to a dinner. My first choice would be my best friend Whitney. I see her basically everyday and I enjoy being around her. We are on the same softball team currently and he have been best friends since I was five and she was four. She is an extremely picky eater so we would have to pick a restaurant that is suitable for her. After debating where to eat we would probably decide on California Pizza Kitchen(also known as CPK). Next I would invite my friend, Ava, who moved to Washington a few years ago. She moved in 2019 and I have only seen her twice since then. It would be great being able to catch up with her in person. Finally I would invite my younger sister. While I do fight with her a lot, we still have a good relationship, and I never want anything to come in between our friendship in the future.

For my 20% project I decided to learn how to crochet a blanket using only my hands. The goal is to make the blanket very big and chunky. For the first week I decided to watch videos on different techniques to make the blanket. I have decided on one that I like and I will start making the blanket at home with my mentor. One struggle that I had this week was my yarn order getting canceled. The yarn went out of stock so is assent going to be able to get it for a while. But I made an adjustment and I found a new color of yarn and I placed that order. I am back on track to start the blanket this weekend. By next week I will have started my blanket and I will either keep making the blanket at school or I will do it at the end of the day at home.

My dream job would be an interior designer. The first reason I would like to be an interior designer is because I like to piece together different parts of a room until it all ties together into a beautiful piece of work. I enjoy doing little things like reorganizing my closet with new organizers that I pick up from Target. Whenever I am at places like IKEA or Target I find my self looking at all the bedroom decor the whole time. Next I would like to be an interior designer because we have one right now and she is doing such a great job designing our house which makes me interested in being one too. She gets to try out new combinations of colors and cool things that spice up the room. Finally I would like to be an interior designer because of the dreams that I can make true. I can make peoples dream houses while also having fun.

Spring break consisted of sitting at home all day watching the rain. However, I did do a few things that are worth sharing. For a few days I spent some time cleaning out our spare room in order for me to then move into that room. I have shared a room with my little sister pretty much my whole life, so I am very exited to finally have my own space. I have been doing a lot of online shopping trying to find cute things to add to my room. On Thursday I went to Rockin Jump for my little cousins birthday party, and I spent the whole time watching the little kids. It was exhausting! After I went to the best ramen place called HiroNori, and it was SO good. I hung out with some of my friends from my softball team, and we celebrated one of their birthdays. Over the weekend I had a softball tournament, and we got first place! My team was very exited and it was definitely a fun experience. The rest of my free time was spent either watching T.V, or sleeping. While it wasn’t a very exiting break due to the rain, it was still a very appreciated relaxation time.

For the month of February I read Love And Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch. This romance Novel is about a teenage girl named Lina whose mom has just perished from cancer and her last wish was for Lina to spend some time with her father in Italy. Yep. Gelato, Pizza, and LOVE. Right after the funeral Lina says her last good byes to her family and friends back home, and with nothing but a duffel bag, and a huge whole in her heart that her mother once filled she hooped on a plane to Florence, Italy. When she arrives to Italy she is greeted by her father Howard who she doesn’t have even the slightest memory of. Howard’s friend Sonia welcomes Lina with good words and a special gift from Linas mom. A journal. Lina who was shocked, begin to read the journal piece by piece until the very end. As she uncovers more and more about her moms old life she begins to fall more and more in love with what the city of Florence has to offer.

One thing that made me love this book so much was how while you are learning about Linas time in Italy you are also learning about her moms time as well. You watch as they visit the same places and fall in love with the same things throughout the book. I also like the character development throughout the book. Through out the story you watch how Lina and Rens(a boy Lina meets while in Italy) friendship grows, and it’s cool to see that they a going through their adventures together.

My favorite character from this book was Ren. From the very beginning Ren was very kind to Lina. Lina knew that she was going to make to make some new friends if she wanted to get through her time with her dad, and Ren made that possible for her. He took care of Lina as if she was his, and made sure she was always safe. He went along with her while she was trying to figure out more about her mom. Rens caring personality is what made me lie, his character so much. On page 214 Ren says, “ Ren looked furious. ‘Why didn’t you yell for me? I would have destroyed him, ’” this quote shows how much he cares for Lina. They are at a party and an older man starts to make Lina feel extremely uncomfortable. When Ren finds out he immediately springs to action in order to make Lina feel better. He put it on himself for not being there to protect her which really shows what a great person he is.

My favorite quote from this book is, “ I had Nutella on my face and my first real love sprawled out next to me and any minute the stars were going to sink back into the sky in preparation for a new day, and for the first time in a long time, I couldn’t wait for what that day would bring. And that was something,” (386). This quote sums up her time in Italy, but in my words I would say that she is having a great time. She is accepting the fact that she is allowed to be happy even after losing her mother, and it is cool to see how she is finally letting her self live her life.

I am Invisible! It all started when I was walking down the street and a wizard asked if I would like to spend a whole twenty-four hours invisible. Of course I said yes! There are endless opportunities of things that I could do while being invisible. So he casted a spell and told me to wait until the next morning and when I wake up I’ll be invisible. I barely slept because I was so exited to see if this was really happening or if it was just some prank. After endless hours of staring into space I finally was able to get some sleep, and when I woke up I was invisible! I didn’t think that it was actually possible. I got up right away, so that I could check everything off my list that I wanted to complete before the day ends. First things first I wanted to do was go to Disneyland. When I arrived I went straight to the pretzel stand and grabbed a whole pretzel without having to wait in the huge line! Then I went to my favorite roller coaster that always has huge lines and I walked straight onto the ride without waiting at all! I ended up going on the ride 5 times along with many other rides and I had the best Disney land ride ever. After I left I wanted to turn some heads so I decided to hop on my bike and take a long ride to the beach. Every car that I passed I saw someone turn to look at the bike that had nobody on it. Finally I decided to go freak out my family by making things float in the air without them knowing that I was their. Their reaction was hilarious, and I had such a great time being invisible!

Here are three reasons why Elephants are the best animals. One reason they are the best animals is because of how the mama elephants take care of their baby’s. They are always watching over them making sure that they are clean, safe, and well fed. Not to mention how cute elephants are when they are baby’s. Secondly elephants are highly sensitive and caring animals. Not only are they kind to just their baby’s they a care for the rest of their pack as well. They are also compassionate towards humans. Finally they deeply mourn their lost ones. After a member of their pact has died they stop for multiple minutes of silence to honor their death. This goes on for several years whenever they are in the area where their elephant friend has past. They will also gently touch their loved ones skull with their trunk. All in all elephants are very kinds, caring, and lovable creatures, and we should protect them the best we can.

I live on an abandoned island. If it weren’t for that Disney land ride that went wrong I wouldn’t be here right now. I was on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and all of a sudden it all started to look a little to real. Then they told us to get off the ride and there I was on the island. Its been 10 years. Anyway every morning I wake up to my pirate friends setting of a cannon as a wake-up call. Once I finally stumble out of bed I make everyone shark and sand for breakfast. After that I go on a run around the beach until its time for lunch. For lunch we have leftovers and for dessert we have ice cream. Up until dinner we do different activities like swimming, arts and crafts, and dancing. For dinner I make seaweed salad with Italian dressing. Then I go to bed to the waves of the ocean. This island was multiple water slides that slide right into the ocean. The water is crystal clear with all the sea life you could imagine. At the center of the island their is a big market place where gatherings aware hosted. And in my room I have a huge bed with a hot tub on the patio.

When Dumbledore uses the words “We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy,” it makes me feel inspired. To me this quote means that sometimes the easy choice isn’t always the right choice. I think it means that you should try to go the extra mile to do the right thing than take the easy path and end up doing the wrong thing. I can relate to this quote when it comes to taking wood shop. You can either take some extra time to sand your project or you can be lazy and not. Another example is you can I either not study for an important test and preform badly on in, or you can take some time to study and have a better chance on doing good.

For the month of January I read the book Another day by David Levithan. Another day is about a girl named Rhiannon who lives a normal life with her boyfriend. She has her good group of friends and has a typical teen girl relationship with her parents. One day she goes on a spontaneous trip to the beach with her boyfriend. He acts incredibly kind, and loving which was sort of out of the blue. The next day he goes back to his normal grumpy self and Rhiannon doesn’t understand why. Rhiannon then discovers what made Justin act the way he acted the day they went to the beach. It wasn’t Justin when they spent that day on the beach. When she meats this person who was her boyfriend for the day she falls in love. However she knows that their is no way they could ever be something. Rhiannon goes through a lot in this book and it will leave you wondering what is going to happen next.

One reason I loved this book so much was how you got to see Rhiannon’s point of view and not just A’s. It was really satisfying to see how the story came together at the end of the book. Another reason I loved this book so much was because of the way you could see Rhiannon slowly realize that she was just settling for someone like Justin. When Rhiannon finally breaks up with him it’s like she can finally be happy again. I also love this book because of the way you could see how much she loved A. In the first book you where unsure of her feelings but in this one you realize how much she loves him.

My favorite character in the book is Rhiannon. She try’s so hard to make their relationship work even though they knew that their was a very low chance of it working out. She was always running away from her life at home to see “A” which meant she was always blowing of her friends, family and boyfriend. However she kept doing it just to see him. She was incredibly caring, and tried so hard to make “A” happy. A quote that demonstrates how caring she is, is when the text says,” I like Alexander. But I want A. I want to find A.”(327). At this point in the story “A” has decided that he is willing to let Rhiannon go, but when Rhiannon fully understands what this means she regrets her decision.

My favorite quote from this book is,”.. the only thing wrong with it right now is that I’m sharing this moment with someone who’s bound to leave,”(316). This quote really wraps up the whole situation that Rhiannon and “A” are going through. All they want is to be together, but they are bound to not be together. It breaks their hearts but they know that’s it’s for the best.
